Velvet Taco - Downtown Fort Lauderdale - 5 Stars This was my first time at Velvet Taco and I'm officially hooked! I ordered the seasonal veggie bowl and added crispy tofu -- it completely exceeded my expectations. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tofu had that ideal crunch, and the whole bowl was packed with bold, satisfying flavors. You can tell they put real care into every ingredient. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion size was more than generous. It's rare to find a spot that nails veggie-based dishes like this -- I'll absolutely be back (many times!). Highly recommend to anyone looking for something delicious, unique, and satisfying. New favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale, no question! The frozen margarita is amazing too!

We decided to stop by for dinner before a show at the Au Rene Theater and this place did not disappoint! I really appreciated their fresh take on tacos and I enjoyed all the options I picked (mexi cali shrimp, chicken tikka, and fish n chips). They were all very fresh and delicious. Of the three, my favorites were the mexi cali shrimp and fish n chips, the chicken tikka wasn't bad but I felt like it would be better without the rice in it. Don't skip out on the combo to add chips and queso. Their queso is the best queso I've had to date at a fast casual restaurant. It had a red and green salsa in it that was soooo yummy. Service wasn't bad, they even checked in to see how we liked the food. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I recommend this place if you're in the area looking for some tacos, you won't be disappointed!

Delicious and well executed. Like many other Yelpers I went with the combo (spicy chicken tikka, slow roasted brisket, elote on the side and a ranch water). Everything was firing on all levels. Salinity, crunch, salt, sweet, savory. Just a really good combination with perfect portions to boot. Service was efficient and friendly with a spotless dining room. Got there around 6 on a Saturday night and there was no wait (a pleasant surprise)!

Perfect spot to end the night and satisfy your late night hunger. Just off the beaten path of himmershee in Fort Lauderdale, worth the 5 minute walk 100%. Enough options to have something new for plenty of visits, making your first choice is the hardest part. I went with the combo, which includes any 2 tacos, a side, and a drink. For a small fee, i upgraded my drink to an adult beverage. Ranch water was my choice on this particular Sunday morning. I also went with the chicken and waffles + Korean fried rice tacos, and elote as my side. Honestly, the elote made everything come together. Full disclosure, this was my last stop after several downtown fort Lauderdale establishments. I will be back any chance I get regardless. Good food, great vibe, and the staff has fun serving the eclectic customers that make their way in late night/early morning.

OK, this was definitely a delicious taco experience. They had tacos that you don't normally get at any other. Of course you know me I had to try different flavors so the order was pretty big. Took my girls for lunch date, so it was a crowd pleaser for the kids as well. The servers were polite, the food was fresh, they had a great deal going on for beverages, and the flavors were awesome. We ordered the Nashville tofu, beer battered cauliflower, and one fried paneer taco. A tasty twist on a traditional dish. The ambience is very casual and chill. They do have vegetarian and vegan options, more than one too! Glad we decided to try something new .

These are some of the most unique tacos I have ever tried. My favorite was the Buffalo chicken taco. The fish n chips one was ok. The beer battered cauliflower had a really nice flavor. The shells are so fresh. Plus if you prefer lettuce, you can choose that for your shell. My margarita was very good. It was very well balanced. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic. Parking is tough but it is worth it to eat here. This was my second time here. I forgot to write a review last time. All of their tacos are ones I have never seen in my life. This is a great place for tacos.

I actually went to the spot several years ago in Georgia and now Velvet Taco has finally come to Florida! They have beautiful frozen drinks drinks like the sangria swirl and you should definitely start with the red curry queso, That has a little spice and a whole lot of cheesy goodness. First up is the #3 spicy tikka chicken taco which is super creamy and flavorful, and has a bed of basmati rice at the bottom The picnic chicken tastes like a day at the beach and even has freaking potato salad on it For my vegetarians the paneer taco was a favorite and the tomato chutney was unreal. There is also the Mediterranean taco that has a Greek inspired, cucumber and feta combo. My last treat was the Red velvet cake, dense and moist and the added caramel doesn't make it a sweetness overload. My tip is to take your cake to go and warm it up at home its somehow even better and makes it fluffy! There is not a single taco on this menu that feels like an afterthought and Velvet Taco proves there's no bounds to the creativity of a taco. Great ambiance and Excellent customer service from all staff and Christina!
